why are you upgrading to a walbro if your car is bone stock? if your pump is dead, just buy an OEM. and i dont think the pump will make you run richer.

uh... actually i have t3 turbo kit. i'm turboing my KA-e one by one.I already have all the parts except wideband.

First step is the fuel pump and then 460cc injectors and then SAFCIIFuel management is the most important part don't you agree.Final will be my turbo

anyway is it okay?

and how abour if i install 460cc injectors too? will it run rich to harm my engine?

While I don't really know what I'm talking about, and thus I could be very wrong....I don't see how increased injector size would harm anything...nor an increased fuel pump, simply because your ECU still isn't attempting to flow any more fuel than normal....right?

I mean, cars with 1000cc injectors still need to flow tiny amounts of fuel sometimes, like at lower rpms....they don't automatically run rich down there, do they? I can't understand why it'd make any sort of a difference.

i definately agree that a good tune and proper fuel management are the most important. the fuel pump has no effect of how rich you are running. that pump can flow more than the OEM pump, but that doesnt mean you are. the ECU, FMU, piggyback, etc decide how much fuel is entering the cylinders.

on a side note, let me know how the ka-e responds to boost. my '89 needs more power desperately, but i'll need to overhaul before adding more air and fuel into the mix.

btw, you'll need to install your safc II if you install those injectors, and get it tuned... stock injectors are like 260cc or something, when increase the size, the ecu will try and use the same formula and crap, I don't know what i'm trying to say, but it won't work lol.

i just installed the pump. pump was great before i intalled the injectors.

crap. why didn't you tell me earlier! T.Ti installed the injectors too. it idled like sh*t. so i changed it again with original injectors, now oring is f*cked up. i tried to fix it much as i can, so i did, but idle at 1100 rpm now....... and the engine sounds wired. hope it's not blowing it self.NO!!!!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~

ps. i'll write up the F/P install story. ps2. don't even mess up with injector o-rings

damn, sorry about that... try to reset your ecu, pull it out, and turn the screw to the left I think it is, a couple times, and put it back were it was... unplugging the battery might work... then start it up and let it get up to temp, pull the TPS sensor and see where it idles, then adjust it from there.. and turn the car off, plug the TPS back in... start it up and see what it's doing.

you cant just install bigger injectors and expect everything to work fine.

your ECU tells the injectors to open up its nozzle for certain amt of time thinking that the injectors will flow at what its supposed to. Now, if you have higher flowing injectors, it's going to dump crap load of fuel. You would need some sort of management to cut down on how much it feeds if you are going to install bigger injectors.

If you install higher flowing fuel pump yes you will run more rich esp during idle but you can get a AFPR to fix that problem.

BTW, when changing injectors you should always replace the o-rings and lubing it will make the install smoother.

You can pick up a walboro for way less than an oem! Even if he wasn't about to boost I would still say pick up the 190lph and save some chedda!
