Difficult? I figured I might as well tackle the fuel pump and get it installed before I drop the engine in. Anyone who has replaced the fuel pump: Is it a tough job? Can I get this done in an afternoon with some jackstands and basic tools? Any words of advice?

Thanks :D

the fuel pump is actually acessed through the trunk in a s13, just pull up the carpet there is a metal cover.

NOTE: DO NOT FORGET to get a new gasket from nissan, the old one can NOT be reused. (well it can, but its ghetto to make it work)

i went to autozone just to see how much a 300ZTT pump would cost. $300!! so I am not saying go for the walbro, but it was $100 and seems to be working fine. Night even has them on his website if you are interested. got mine from horsepowerfreaks.comgood luck with whatever you decide.

i can't hear mine, and it I am still running stock exhaust. If your pump is that loud, it may be bad.Now my 12" dual flex-a-lite fans on the other hand are loud. But I could probably vacuum up all the leaves in the yard by driving accross it, so at least I know they are keeping the RB cool. :)

mine worked fine.if it pops out of the groove then you might have to replace it but if you are careful not to disturb it then you shouldnt have a problem.

bigk, do you have the back seat and interior parts in? I have a walbro pump in my crx and I ran around for a while w/o my rear interior parts and the pump was moderately loud, but when I put the interior back in it quietened down considerably. I can still hear it though.

yea everything is in the car,i think its loud because of the voltage.just like when you use a 300zx fuel pump, it runs at full throttle all the time.

not to keep beating on this, but today I finally noticed the pump. Only it was not from the inside. I had the car up on jack stands and was inspecting my exhaust. I could hear what sounded like a tire leaking air at the back of the car. It was the fuel pump! I still wouldn't call it loud, because if I didn't still have the stock exhaust, I would have never heard it.
