k so,

im looking to buy a walbro for my kouki (rb26) and found one on egay.

a buddy of mine also ordered one from the same guy and it was a legit walbro (did the whine test), anyways....

the part number he has given is "GSS-341 400-766". now i typed that into google, and it comes up as the pump for s13's.

now my question is, will it still mount up to my tank mount or should i keep looking for one specific to the s14?

the whine test tells you the difference betwenn a real or a fake walbro.

shows the difference in whine between real and fake.

thanks for the answer tho

Heh, to me it's a fuel pump regardless.

But when I put in the 255 in my 1st gen Integra man that thing was louder than the motor! The fuel pump was right behind the driver seat :P

why anyone would build a knockoff of an already super cheap pump is beyond me. are you supposed to do this "test" dry or with the pump submerged? supposedly the bushings in the wal-blows die really fast.. especially if run dry.

LOL you really believe that?

walboros can be very noisy. i had one for about 2 years in my car that would have failed your "whine test" but it was a real one.

Big fan of a MKIV Supra pump myself... silent and great flow with an upgaged power wire. You should have some way to read FP.... don't need to hear it... just my opinion
