I ordered and recieved my walbro 255 fuel pump but it did not come with anything. I read the tech article but it says you need an S13 install kit and a prelude install kit. My question is there any way to install the pump without these install kits? All I have right now is a new fuel tank o-ring and just the pump (no connectors or sock). I work right across from a honda dealer, could I just buy a sock for a 1997 Prelude there and reuse the connectors from the old pump? or does the walbro have completely different connectors? Thanks for your help.

go b*tch out the place u got the pump from for a connector. other then that you might be able to use small spades to hook up the pump, as for the sock you got the right idea

i would order a kit for the s14 or s13. the connector is different along with the output hose. i think its only $10-$15. it includes all the stuff to install it correctly. i wouldnt short-cut this.

I thought there was a write up on this but...

You need both the sock from the prelude and the install kit for the 240sx.

The prelude sock will orient the sock in the correct angle and direction on the s14.

I've had that set up on two different s14's and most likely doing it on my new one. No fuel starvation issues etc.
