Hello NICO members!!! I am going to do a fuel pump on my Q45 and was wondering if I should stick to the OEM products OR can I go and purchase an aftermarket (Walbro fuel pump) and customize the brackets to make it fit??

OEM nissan pump is 250 from http://www.everythinginfiniti.com

Ebay seller "mr. fuel pump" advertises japanese made OEM supplier q45 pump brand new for $145, advertised as direct fit drop in part.

Are his fuel pump guaranteed new?

I have no experience with them. He advertises the pumps as brand new.I would contact him to ask any questions if you are interested. Post results if you do!

You can use a walbro in your Q but you have to retain the rubber boot/sleeve from the original pump for it to fit in the assembly correctly.

Also plan on doing some soldering/heat-shrinking as well.

(And do NOT slack in precautionary measures regarding gasoline and gasoline vapors!)

Good luck.
