I wonder if the Walmart Ninja Force will come after you for snapping a pic inside...

Actually, all I'm seeing is a red X, but hey, I can assume.

Oh, and since I'm sure Mikey doesn't tell you enough, get some friggin brake pads Kev.

edit: Now I can see it. They're coming man, they just tried to recruit me and The Beast into the Walmart Ninja Force... I turned it down, didn't want to have to kill my friends... better watch out man...

I had a couple friends who stooped to being WalMart Ninja Force Enlistees because they couldn't get a job anywhere else. If the rest are anything like these guys, you haven't got much to worry about.

I hate WalMart for a different reason. There are three small towns with farmland that was going to become parks. But WalMart caught wind of it and there are ongoing court battles and applications for the land. Every time, WalMart gets their claim for the land denied, but every time they appeal. Now, in one of the cities, they have finally been granted the land by the council. The problem is, nearly every single citizen voted AGAINST the land going to WalMart, but the Councilmembers voted against the wishes of the citizens and allowed it anyway. I despise big, powerful corporations. I still shop at WalMart though...where else can you get toilet paper for 89 cents a 6 pack?

WalMart, though, is only an ant compared to Microsoft. At least WalMart is not FORCED upon my every single day, every time I try to play a game, and every time I want to do pretty much anything anymore, save take a frickin' dump!!Windows is so bad...I was playing Half Life 2 earlier, in a spot where you have to pay attention and time things just right (the car on the bridge on the with the train) and just as I was almost to safety, the damn "Holding down shift for ___seconds will enable Sticky Keys. Do you wish to enable sticky keys?" prompt. IT MINIMIZED MY GAME TO ASK ME IF I WANTED STICKY KEYS!! What kind of STUPID bull**** OS would do THAT?

All big corporations must DIE. DIE. We can create an economy that revolves around shoelaces, and then they will all have to start again from scratch! MWAHAHAHAHAAHAH!

Oh, and by the way, I died because of the damn windows thing in HL2. I hurried and maximized the HL2 window again, just in time to see the train smash into my buggy and hear the flatline "eeeeeeeeeeee" that means I am dead. Yay for 180 dollar operating systems!

It's not forced onto you ... you could just not use the computer, or use another OS, or there's always the option to quit complaining.

No, I can't quit using the computer, I have to use one everyday for work and for school. I DO use other OS's, but most major games are only available for Windows, so I'm stuck with it there if I want to play them. And quit complaining? HELL no. Would you quit complaining if your car spontaneously locked up its brakes at random, or if the headlights went on and off as they pleased? No...I won't stop complaining until they can make a system that actually works exactly how I need, exactly when I need without the ever present fear that it might just, for no reason other than its own ****ed-uppedness, crash/freeze/die/tell me I've done something "illegal."

And yes it IS forced upon me, since its the corporate standard, and I have a job. Corporate...job...standard...that all equals me having to put up with it all night at work. So excuse me if I'm a little annoyed with software that begs me every thirty seconds to reboot so its new auto-update can take effect, and then proceeds to lock up during the restart after that and tell me it's missing files. Well they were there when it shut down...it was OFF between then and now...where the HELL did they go?

Windows is just plain unacceptable as a commercial peice of software. It should--and COULD--be much better, but Microsoft knows they can get away with it, and they know they can sell it as is, because for some reason that is completly beyond my grasp, most people are willing to "just deal with it" even though it is hard to do anything at all, ever, on a Windows based machine without having some sort of a problem which is absolutely unrelated to user input, but only the result of a peice of crap, money making machine.

Anyone who tells me to quit whining about Windows can't have spent much time programming, running CPU-intensive applications, or trying to just type a damn sentence.

I've used my computer for years for just about anything... and I've had very few problems with it.

If my car had brakes that locked up all the time then I would get rid of it and get another car or fix it. Nothing that a little effort and time couldn't solve.

If Windows wasn't ever implimented we would be using Macintosh's OS ... which is a complete piece of utter **** on another level that needs to be updated every week to use any program. This is why I choose to not use MacOS.

You put too much thought into "the man" trying to get you.

I used to buy Macs all the time, and still would if my income were greater than $6,000 a year. But this Windows box was made out of borrowed and recycled parts, and so far it kind of works. It surfs the web and downloads p0rn. What the hell else do I need?

haha my cousins probe did that, the headlights would pop up and down and turn on and off by themselves. fords, what can i say?

anyway i know what you mean about windows, i program and i know how it goes. they only dont make it perfect so you have to buy upgrades for years to come...

as far as building a wal mart because a legislation said they could even though the public said no...dont you just love politics? the city of syracuse is starting to build a sewage treatment and overflow plant in the real poor part of the city, just because it was convenient. this is even after the county, the public, and the surrounding towns were against it, they started it even though its still in court...its going to get insane

First of all, let me start off by saying that you are dead on correct about Microsoft.

You know what should fix most of your complaints. You have Broadband Internet, right? Well, have you ever heard of a little program called MIRC? Well, with a little patience, you can get any program you want For FREE.

THat is the ONLY reason that I use Windows XP Pro. If I would have had to have paid for it, I would definitely not have bought it. I would switch to one of the many Linux Distros that I have.

BTW, I usually dual boot with a Mandrake Linux and Windows XP Pro combo. I have found that Windows XP is the best for playing games. Everything else, Linux is the best at.

Oh, and you really need to learn how to configure Windows Properly. Guess how many programs/services I have running in the background. Three!!! Explorer, System, and svchost. Oh, and sometimes, I will allow tcp/ip service run. So, at any given time, Windows XP is consuming ~50MB of RAM. Now how many of you can say that?

NOw, I completely agree that windows sucks. I know what you mean about it losing files and failing every few minutes. But that's why I create a boot image of a fresh "optimized" install of Windows XP on another Hard Drive. BTW, Windows XP is the first OS that I have ever had to make a boot image of in fear that the OS would fail at random.

Oh, I still think that Windows 98se is the Best Operating System that microsoft ever created. I admit, it was unstable if configured improperly, but when it was configured properly, watch out! There were no stupid services running in the back ground. All you got was a GUI with an ugly face, and was easy to use. When I run Win98se on my computer, I can usually get it operating on less then 25MB of RAM, that's amazing. And I'd still have full functionality.

I have no idea what the point of my post was .

ANyway, if you want a really easy to use OS for cheap, Pirate a copy of Windows XP Pro of Win98se.

If you want a little bit difficult OS for really cheap, download your favorite Linux distro.

If you want an overpriced Computer, Go buy a MAC.

Hey, that just gave me another idea for a rant.

Why are Macs do expensive? They don't offer anymore features than PCs. Infact, they offer far less features than even the cheapest PCs. The only thing that a Mac is fairly good at is Graphical and Video editing. And oh, guess what, with the right Video car, your PC can be 10x better then a Mac at visual editing.

I think that Apple/Mac is way worse then Microsoft with their OS. I remember reading about them coming out with an update to OS X, IIRC, the upgrade was to 10.2 or something like that. They wanted an additional $200 for it. They wouldn't even give the buyers of OS X a price break. At least Microsoft doesn't charge people for upgrading the OS in between Versions.

Again, I forgot where I was going

Ok, now to the topic at hand: I love Walmart. Those Long John thngs that you took a picture of are so good. I love the Bavarian Cream Filled ones. The Yellow "pudding", I really don't care much for the White cream ones.

You know, Mac OS upgrades dont use serial numbers. When you bring your Mac to the Apple Store for service, they always leave a copy of the upgrade disc in the drive by "accident". Its one of those "Yeah we expect you to pay, but we wont try hard to make you pay" things.

Wal-mart has low prices, not a bad place to shop. I usually go there for my video gaming needs.

Well, first you should start here:http://www.tweakxp.com/

^^^ There are alot of good tips here.Next, go here and download xteq xsetup:http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4083.html

Be careful, Xteq xsetup is a very powerful program. You can easily mess up your system. I recommend always operating the program in "safe mode".

If you need any help with the program, feel free to ask.
