alright, so I noticed this mornin that somethin is squeekin under the hood, I think it's the fan belt.... anyone have, or had, this problem? is WD-40 good enough?

AND, my brakes are squeekin too... any solutions? caliper grease?

Thanks!

WD-40 IS NOT A LUBE!!!!! it's more of a degreaser than anything else.

for the fan belt its not a matter of lube, you really dont want lube on a belt, they used to make a belt dressing that would remove grease and condition the rubber, not sure if they make it anymore though, usually the squeaking is caused by either a liquid, like radiator coolant, getting on the belt or something of that nature that would severely dry out the belt,it could also be loose, but i doubt that. so what i would do is just replace the belt. as for the brakes assuming your brakes pads arent just worn out which would require replacement, you may have just hardened the pad surface, which if you take the caliper off and just take some mild sand paper and sand on the pads surface you can remove the hardened spots, and your brakes should quit sqeaking
