maybe the guy don't know how to drive or maybe it's an automatic but I was late to class and found him on my infamous 100mph road, we went from a rolling run at 60mph and I just kept on pulling away. The guy told me it's a stock everything sti he just got 2 weeks ago.

s14 turbo, 15psi

caught one with a stock RB20DET, they are not that fast. Still a good kill and I bet he drove right over to Subaru to have the car checked out.

Bleh you get the weaker EJ207's

We get the EJ257 powered ones.

Although I think the EJ207 is a better engine.

I have no concrete evident to back up my claim though I have nothing to prove to you. So long that I know I won, be it an automatic, bad opponent or sheer luck; I still won and the truth is something you can;t deny me of.

that's racing, two guys don't get on dynos to measure power, two scales to weigh in and then whip out the sliderule to do some complex mathematical equasion to crown a winner. Two people drive as best they can and their cars do what they are going to do and somebody wins. There is a reason people do it again and again. You don't have to prove **** to me, if you say you won I beleive you.

Confirmed, went to Subaru.com and "built my own", automatic is not an option. He may have just been inexperienced on his shift points, or as previously mentioned, it was still being broken in. I just hope the guy doesn't drive the poor thing like that through break in.

Ok, from a roll, you gatta remember awd is good for acceleration, mostly from a stop, they don't have the top end pull/speed to beat a fwd/rwd car like that.

if it was from a stop he would have spanked you and then you'd catch up and whip him...

The problem in my area is trying to FIND a stock STI...

Everyone who I know who drives one has 400-500hp and is generally on their 2nd or 3rd transmission.

Weren't you talking about how dangerous it was to speed? Something about running over little girls?Beating that STi IS impressive, but you've got to bare in mind that they're geared to keep the engine producing power at a lot of (fairly) low speeds. WRC doesn't achieve super high speeds, they just have to accelerate constantly. However, I bet all those Soob fans would hear that and be all like:"omfg, t4hts liek uB3r 1mp054bl3!!! es 7 eyes R 2 pr0 2 g1t pwnd b1 4 n00b 1n p05 t004D e55e><"

The difference between a stock STI and an actual WRC rally car is like night and day. They strip those cars bare and remove all the creature comforts you would normally enjoy. Naturally there performance is much better.

Anyone ever see the clip in the drift bible of the stock subaru versus its wrc counterpart in the touge? He beats him by 19 secs. My memory is fuzzy on whether they were STI's...

I was not impressed when I test drove the STI. They are very very fast at the launch, but thats all their 13.4 (maybe?) 1/4 mile has goin for them. After the low gears they die... I raced one from 20-100 in my brothers mr2 turbo that ran a 14.0, and I lead by a car length.

I totally believe you beat one, nice kil.
