17 really sucks though. You can rent, and get into, rated "R" movies, but yet you can't go into clubs

It's always nice not to have to send your mommy in to buy your M rated games because the store is afraid to be sued. Oh, and you still have some priveleges (legally) but girls under 18 are not off limits. Always a plus, especially with you it would seem.

Unfortunately (at least, this was a big deal for me since most of my friends were slightly younger than me) you can't buy tickets for other people without an ID per ticket (that's how it is here anyway, but Utah's screwed up anyway, so maybe it's not that way everywhere else). Really really stupid. Of course, then we'd just send my mother in to charm the ticket seller into giving her enough tickets without all the ID's.

I'm on perhaps the most anticipatory year of my life. I'm 20. Next fall, I get to drink, gamble, and rent cars and get decent loans. Oh, and my insurance goes down, w00t!

WAIT how could I forget the thing I look forward to most: a handgun and concealed weapon's permit. Haha...a nice 38 or 9mm snub-nose to hide in my briefcase. unh! Maybe even a .357 Baby Eagle.

Don't you have to be 24 to rent a vehicle? IIRC, that's the age around here. Also, your insurance doesn't go down until 24 .

And oh, you shouldn't care about loans. Loans will only cause trouble.

In Utah, the big insurance decrease comes at 21, and then there's a smaller one at 24. There's also a nice small one at 19.

It might be 24 to rent...not sure, never needed to.
