Nice, I just got 415 miles on my last tank of gas and only used up 13.8 gallons! This was on 91 octane (damn you cali!) and it's been 95+ degrees here the last week. Thats roughly 30mpg which I think is damn good since epa is 28 and considering I cruise at 80+mph which is almost 4krpms in 5th.

Which brings me to my next point. Don't you guys think 240's need a 6th gear? I think the rpms are kind of high for being on a freeway for long drives, but obviously It works. I've also noticed in my Nissan 4x4 that the rpms are also high on freeway driving, I guess Nissan just like running their cars at high rpms on the freeway.

The autos are geared better for highspeed (freeway) driving.

Beefy turbo V-6 > good MPG.

Actually I get close to 30 on the highway. Not bad.

Bahahahaha! I get high 20's ALL CITY and I usually do at least one WOT run every time I go somewhere (and with exhaust, it's only going to get worse, lol)... on highway I'd probably get mid 30s with ease. 80mph with the SR20DE is about 4-4.5k rpm... mileage isn't too bad til I hit 90, then it's nearing 5k and well... you can pretty much watch the gauge drop (of course, part of this is gas sloshing backward in the tank, because when I slow down, the gauge goes up a little... hmmmm...).

edit: Oh, and I can outrun a stock 240 :D. Well... that's sorta based on my destruction of 240kid today... but then again we didn't really have an equal start... I kinda leaped out before he knew it.... but I had a car length by 60mph... slowed at about 70 cause well... yeah, PTC cops. We'll run again and see how it goes: torque and RWD vs LSD, more mods (CAI and SS) and a little more experience.... oh, and my car is 11 years newer, lol...

Ya, all my driving on that tank was freeway. And yes you may get better mpg, but my car is more sexay! Own3d.

And damn, I couldn't let my car sit at 4.5k on the freeway. I shift each gear at 3k rpms, and even seening it near 4k on the freeway bugs the hell out of me, hence the want for a 6th gear.
