2013 G37x sedan.

Overhead console, just to the right of the moonroof control switch. There is an oblong hole with a light in it. Not sure if the light is on all the time, or only if the headlights are on. It is noticeable while driving at night. Though not strong enough to light anything up. Doesn't seem to be in a very good place if it's just to let you know where the moonroof control switch is.

Thanks

This is a console light. The console light will illuminate whenever the parking lights or headlights are turned on and can be adjusted with the instrument brightness control. It's supposed to softly light up the shifter area at night. Both of my Rogue's had this light.

At night simply hold your hand over the shifter and you should see some shadow play. It does lightly illuminate the area. I like it.
