But u folks can comment as much as u like.

I think its interesting to see as much as PPL complain, about our cars sometimes, to see the grass is not greener on the other side of the fence.

Well... He doesnt sound like the smartest guy in the world. First off he continues to take his car to the SAME dealership. Secondly he says that all MBs are crap... which is hardly the case. I have never heard of any MBs have problems of that sort. Buying a lemon does suck but it happens. When a manufacturer makes millions of cars its hard to make sure every one of them will work 100% after it leaves the factory. To me it sounds like the dealership has a shady parts dept. and he needs to boycott the dealership... not the manufacturer.

I think he has a multi-million dollar lawsuit in his driveway.Did you guys read the part where his rear tires both blew out? Thats a serious danger. When you pay that much for a car, you expect a certain degree of quality.

It's a mark against the dealership, but doesn't the manufacturer have the responsibility, if not the financial incentive, of stepping in and doing what's right? I sent an email via the guy's support page, which he will forward to MB. I basically said that the site is getting recognition in the many automotive online sites and forums and that my coworker, who is seriously looking to buy a new car, will be made aware of the situation. It's a little more of a direct impact since the dealership, Fletcher Jones, is pretty close to where my coworker lives. He is leaning toward the Saab 93, and I think it's a great car, if a little underpowered. I think it's a good idea to show some support for this guy and do our part to send the message to the manufacturers that this stuff DOES get around, and if maybe 10 people choose not to buy a new Benz because of it, then the dealership, and maybe MB too, could actually have increased their profits and moved more inventory by doing what's right.

That is frightening about the nails in the tires! That is just sheer carelessness on the service staff it appears.

Very unusual to see such a reaction from Mercedes-Benz, being as how they usually are high ranking where customer satisfaction is concerned. I hope the owner at least makes out with another car entirely, or a "refund" for his current one.

Pretty funny reading, but sad. Many states have lemon laws where if a dealer or manufacturer cannot correct a warranty problem after a certain number of attempts, they have to replace the car. Sounds like a simple case of an incompetent dealer. If this guy spent 1% of the time he spent venting his spleen on the internet and talked to a good lawyer, he'd probably be in another car by now. I had heard MB's quality has dipped some after Daimler's acquisition of Chrysler. But this is surprising stuff if its true.

I don't see why he hasn't just bought a new one. With all money he is putting in that car he could have made a downpayment or yet bought a car for what he's doing. Seems whoever sold him that car pulled a big fast one on him. If it was me, I would have gotten rid of the car and found me something else.

Did this guy not test drive the car before he bought it?? I always thought everyone test drove the car before they buy to know it runs, its in good condition.

lets see is it that smart to put your car infront of the dealer and to shout vulgarities about their business practices then take your nice car in and ask them or demand them to fix it, i know if i was a tech an some *** did that i would probably fu ck his car up to were it would have bad failures all the time just for sh its an giggles !!
