Ok. I need new exhaust pipes. Still. I can not afford to spend 1600$ on new ones. Yes, that is what they cost, about for a 1997 J30. Unreal. I found a guy who lives in California who has to part his out. He has the part that complies to California regs and I have just a normal one. Compare 20010-10y20 with 20010-18d0 those are the two part numbers for the rights side "down pipe and cat" for the exhaust in http://www.fuzzycats.com/j30parts/page_760.jpg part number 2. Will this pipe and cat combo part fit on the rest of my exhaust, or am I out of luck. I have called all the local Infiniti dealers and no one knows, or just wont tell me. The garage who will be installing the parts was also unaware if there is a difference, and Google just made me mad. Any ideas? The garage guys seems to think it could all just be internal, different catalysts. I don't want to be out a few hundred more dollars and two pipes I cant use... Please. Thank you for your time and thoughts.

Have the shop make new exhust, just buy some magna flow or flow master mufflers, and skip the cats if you have no emm, ask GR8SCOTT he did it to his J

It is not good to PROMOTE FELONY EMISSION TAMPERING on a public INET forum where you can be held responsible [adding and abetting] for perpetuity.

There is no difference in exhaust layout just the cat, due to Cali's strict emmisions laws.
