VSS problems

Hi,I have a 1996 s14 and i installed a s13 sr20det, now my problem is that i converted from automatic to standard and i used the VSS (vehicule speed sensor) that came on the s13 transmission. When i drive my speed spikes really fast, when im going around 35 mph it shoes 70 mph, im wondering if my s14 gauge are not compatible with the s13 VSS, should i go to Nissan dealership and get a s14(ka) VSS? will it fit on the S13 transmission?thanks

The problem is that the vss that came on the s13 transmission is for kph not mph so you should try to get a used one from someone or get one from the dealership.
