vss error

Ok ladys and gentlemen here my going issue that I have been having for the last couple of months I have been driving my s13 (automatic)with no speedo reading,now after running a consult the error I receive was a bad speed sensor,ok no biggie I replace it clear out the codes and still no speedo and I'm still getting the same error,now when I drive it look like I have two tach and the speedo goes bonker reading at times it read 40 down to zero up to the 110,etc,so now I'm stump what could be the issue some one tould me it could be the cluster,those any one had the same issue or resolution to this problem thanks..
