VR SENSOR OR HALL SENSOR?

HEY GUYS IM HOOKN UP MY 034EFI COMP AND I NEED TO KNO IF I HAV A VR SENSOR OR HALL SENSOR?HOW DO I FIND OUT?

The HALL and VR are basically the same thing IIRC. Both are used for rpm detection. You should know which one you have if it came from the kit.

CAN I JUST HOOK IT UP STRAIGHT TO MY CRANK POSTION SENSOR?

?? The one from the 034? Or do you mean the distributor. You do have a KA24de right?

ok im confused.the sensor on top of the transmission which reads the teeth of the flywheel isnt that the crank position sensor?034efi mention something about i hav to count the number of teeth?isnt that what there talkng about?and yes ka24de.

The Hall and VR are usually mounted to the crank pulley. I've not seen one done via flywheel before. But that doesn't mean it can't be done.

Here's a homeade job using the stock crank pulley.



Thats the only way I've seen it done wihout using a aftermarket pulley like the one on the 034 site.

The ka uses a Hall optical sensor, mounted in the distributor.
