Hello im new and this isnt flame bait.

an entire car (infinty Q45 92 vintage), not a clip, can be had for the same prices an sr20det can be bought for.

now granted there are SOME hurdles to this coversion.

In this world everyone has already thought of everything already, so im curious if any one has ever evaluated this possibility....with two turbos....that would be sweet.

VQ45 in its stock condition had 270+ Hp.

ThanksOsca

the only larger engines ive seen swapped is the rb25dett and a vg30det <--i think thats right. those two were stuffed in there, so if you try it, goodluck, but if it works, that would be badass.

I wouldnt try but am curious if anyone else has. when I was in europe I saw a 3 series BMW with a BMW v12 in it after that I believe if someone wanted to put in a 36 cylinder pratt and whitney engine in a civic someone could figure out how to do it.

That's why I'm dropping a KA into a Yugo and throwing the boost to it.

General info VH45DE:

hemispherical combustion chamberssodium filled exhaust valves (even tho dropped in 92 for 93 model year)six-bolt main bearings w/ girdleVVT 4 valves per cylinder.redline at 6900, can be chipped to 7200-7300 very safely.

Its also an all aluminum engine, but since it is a bit over designed it is a bit heavier than some other 32valve all aluminum engines of same size.

As for the power it were declared at 280 DIN hp or 278 SAE hp the earlier model years were stronger than that, by a bit.

Keep us posted.

Or you could just keep the car and get it back into proper condition and then maybe mod it.

Of course many Q's out there need to have a lot of maintenacne done to them after purchase.

Since Q maintenace is so expensive it often makes the problem worse as the previous owner is less likely to have done proper upkeep.

To get the average used Q back close to "as new" handling + performance+safety runs between $3000-8000.

This would typically include new rear subframe assembly (1.-1.5k, front end rehab 2k, brake work 0.5 to 2k depending on condition, guides to cam chains best price in US 1.2-1.5k,new shox/springs, new bushings alla roundThe above are the must have's for almost all used Q's;you may also need injectors 1.2k, ox sensors, knock sensors if previous overheat at this age, transmission 3k.

While this may sound like a lot that is policing up things that most PPL dont properkly maintain in an older car.

Its actually a lot cheaper to maintain or bring back to nearly "as new" an older Q than a BMW 7 series or equivalent V8 MB.
