yesterday I was at the junkyard looking for a sunroof (turns out mine's aftermarket ),

anywho, in the front of the yard there was a red Frontier that looked like it had been rolled. (). I look under the hood and it has has had the V6 (VQ40). . I wonder if... I prodeed to look into the cabin at the shifter. The handle is broken off, I reach in and successfully move the lever left and right (6-speed). .

Purly for discussions sake (I shouldn't be putting very much money into my cars right now). How much different could a VQ40 be from putting a VQ35 into an S13? Assuming the Frontier ECU and wiring harness were used. I know with the VQ35 one would have to change out the front crossmenber (or subframe?) and something with the morot mounts.

If money is a problem right now. Save yourself the trouble and just walk away. Would be nice to see it done. Unless you could fab stuff up yourself.

I know this tread was moved by a mod from the 240sx thread, but how is this falling under hybrid? Shouldn't this be under VQ? These just alot of Nissan engines in Nissans popping up in this thread, but it seems like they are just being dumped in here.

just if you are going to try to do that you might just want to get the tranny from that car because if the car did flip over and they left the car running the bottomend of the motor could be f***.

thread rez!

ever get done? or anyone ever see it get done anywhere in anything?

VQ40DE and what tranny?...obviously the VQ40DE motor and tranny will bolt up, but low/truck gear ratio.

would like to do a VQ40DE swap with a car tranny...but which one bolts up?

anyone know 110% sure what tranny options there are for a VQ40DE? pics/personal experience?

not doubting you, but any actual proof? VQ40de install in anything? pics of the two bolted up? pics of tranny and block bell housing to compare? anything...?
