Hello. New to the forum and I have a question that I hope someone can help me out with. I have a 2003 350Z with a locked up engine. I plan on replacing the engine with another vq35de. I am currently looking at an engine from a 2007 infinity M35. Is this possible? If so, even a good idea to use this engine? From the research I've done, noticed the HP amount is different. Would I be running into more problems when start up time comes? I am very confused and any help would be appreciated.

i know on the later model 350z's and g35's, they came with the vq35hr engine. i know the 2007's came with them, i'm sure the 2007 m35 is the same way, which is probably why you see a difference in the power rating. i'm not sure how involved it is going from vq35de to vq35hr but if it was me i would stick with a vq35de from the earlier models to save yourself the headache. hope that helps a bit.
