yesterday my g35 started a rattling noise at cold start up until engine warms up..thought it was heat shield or something but is seems to be the timing chain hitting the timing cover on drivers side head, the tensioner on the VQ is oil pressure controlled so ill check oil level and see if its helps, if that dont fix..it goes to infinity on thursday 8 am...could be a bad tensioner or another oil pressure related issue....Anyone hear of this problem before..?

Somewhat common for people who don't check oil at every fill up. Some [<5%] burn oil due to ring problems.

Running low of oil [operating without enough oil] can allow Nissan to void warranty UNTIL you start dealer oil usage test so be careful.

Check out this recent thread. Description of thinking it is a heat shield rattling sounds familiar. Please check your oil before you start your G again!
