yesterday my g35 started a rattling noise at cold start up until engine warms up..thought it was heat shield or something but is seems to be the timing chain hitting the timing cover on drivers side head, the tensioner on the VQ is oil pressure controlled so ill check oil level and see if its helps, if that dont fix..it goes to infinity on thursday 8 am...could be a bad tensioner or another oil pressure related issue....Anyone hear of this problem before..?

update:I was right..car was low on oil...effected ability to control tensioner..changed oil...all is well again..

Im actually having the same issue in my 95 maxima (VQ30DE). Well of course my car also has 192xxx miles but more then likely your tensioners gave out.
