Hey guys, Ive got my hands on some Nismo headers for a Z33, and I'm wondering if anyone knows if they will bolt up to the VQ35DE in our R50's? I'm not sure if anyone has tried to do this yet, but as long as the flanges for the head to header will match, then I'll keep em and cut/reweld what needs to be changed in order for them to clear the firewall, and make new piping for an exhaust.

Any help or input would be extremely useful, I know most of the ideas I post go unanswered, but this one is something I'd really like to see some results on.

Headers were sent home to KC, where my pathy and my Tig welder sit....I guess I'll find out one way or another.

Not sure if this is much help, but it's my understanding that different versions of the VQ35 engine have different cylinder heads. The ports would therefore not necessarily be the same, or match up. I seem to remember a posting a while back where someone wanted to use a high performance intake manifold/plenum (designed for a 350Z), on his R50, but it wouldn't fit due to the different head design. I hope your headers will fit. Keep us informed. Thanks.

I'm hoping that's not the case, and I get lucky? If not, then I can at the least have some flanges cut, and use the Nismo headers in any way possible when building up a Jig. I don't see myself building up a set of headers and sending them to China/Taiwan for copies to be made, I'd have to do a run of about 50 to make it worth while, and I don't have the funds for that right now either..I'm still tied up in a couple other projects.

but if they come out right. I can always keep the Jig and do some on a strictly by order basis?
