vq35de engine and transmission help

Hi I have a 2001 maxima vq35de and its a front wheel drive I was wondering if the transmission from the 350z that is the same vq35de but different year and also is a manual where as the maxima is a automatic I was wondering if the transmission from the 350z would fit on the maxima engine

No it will not, because it's front wheel drive vs rear wheel drive.

You can get that generation in a manual trans, so if you wanted to convert from auto to manual that's a doable thing.. Although it would probably be a lot cheaper/easier to just buy a maxima with a manual trans than convert it seeing how old these cars are, but I'm sure there's plenty of people out there that have converted them.
