vq35de drive by wire

ok so im looking into doing a vq swap into my s14 this winter n have almost all the info i need to do it as far as wiring, mounting, and driveline but only thing i havent seen touched is how the drive by wire from the 350z is either by passed and still get to use my rack for steering n throttle cable or does it all have to be used from z... if theres a thread on this i cant find it ne where... thanks for the help....

You need to make a bracket and use the Z or other Nissam FBW pedal

oh ok well hell thats not that bad... i should still be able to use the s14 steering rack n all then... thanks for the help

The steering rack and drive by wire are two different things. The gas pedal sends a signal to the ecu which then tells the throttle body what percentage to open. You can always go stand alone and run a cable setup but that would require a different kind of throttle body.

so the drive assist isnt part of the dbw system
