I just got a 20003 Maxima SE. I thought it was just a little valve tapping noise. When idling, it sounds like a sewing machine. It goes away when you step on the gas, so I didn't think much of it. But now I'm adding oil every 150 to 200 miles. It seems like the noise goes away after adding oil. The car runs excellent, it doesn't smoke aor emit any bad fumes, and performance seems to be okay too. I'm wondering if anyone knows what this might be? Thank you!!!
