if i was to drop a vq35 into a 240, wat would i need. I heard that since the 240 has a manual throttle body and the vq35 an electronic throttle body i would need to trick it to work in the 240.

That would be interesting (& extremely difficult). The 240 is probably a OBDI car which would give you problems right off the bat.

ODBI is for the 95 possibly 96, other s14's should be II, s13's don't have that stuff.

The VQ35, I'd assume it's like any other non-240 motor into a 240. You're looking at custom motor mounts (engine cross member possibly) new transmission mount and cross member, custom driveshaft, possibly cutting the shifter hole area to be able to shift, new power steering and AC lines, a bit of wiring which I'm sure would be pretty involved, finding how you're going to mount the ECU, possibly clearance issues with the steering rack if you don't measure out the motor's fitment properly, custom pipes for the intake, custom exhaust, and the list goes on. The sensors you're talking about shouldn't be a problem if you're using the VQ's ECU. You're worrying about the wrong details of that kind of swap. If you've got deep deep pockets and a team of skilled mechanics/fabricators then yeah you can do it. If you expect to do it out of your garage and it's your first swap I'd recommend against it. If you've got experience with swaps and such, got decent welding skills, and want to step it up to fabrication of major parts, it may be a project for you.

Just a side rant: I hate the phrase "drop a ____ (<--- insert name of motor here)." Think about it, drop a motor? Why would anyone in their right mind drop a motor? What ever happened to INSTALL a motor?!?!

interested in vq swap?

throttl body off of a 95-01 max(i think the later ones are bigger) will allow you to use a cable set up.

you could prob use a modified wiring harness from a 95-01 max with the accompanying computer to avoid the fancy new computers.

then, if you use a 95 computer you can have it programmed by jwt to do anything you want.
