I have a 99 maxima 5 speed and dont feel like going through the pains of an engine swap. I cant find any info though on some things. Can a 6 speed transmission from a VQ35DE bolt up to a VQ30DE? Will the intake manifold from an Infiniti G35 coupe bolt up to a VQ30DE? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know about the transmission. The G's manifold will not bolt up. You could put on a manifold from a 00 or 01 Maxima, and get a gain of about 30-35 HP. It is not an easy gain though. It takes a lot of knowledge about vacuum systems, and I am almost positive you have to get the ECU from an 00 or 01.

Have you put on a Y-pipe yet? That will give you a good gain, as well as high flow cats, and cat back exhaust. I replaced the entire exhaust system in my Max, and used 1/2" over stock size piping, along with high flow cats. It made a noticeable difference in acceleration. You can look for a good intake. See if you can find a used Frankencar intake on ebay or craigslist. If none of those are available, look into a short ram intake. Cattman makes a true cold air intake, which is nice, but also really spendy. Aside of Cattman's CAI, there is no other CAI made for the Maxima. All the other ones that call themselves a CAI, are actually a warm air intake. It will pull in warm air, not cold. That's why I suggest a short ram.

The six speed gear box will bolt up to a vq30, but it will take some customizing to make it work in your chassis.

For more power, I'd get cattman headers, an 00VI, and an EMU.

Regarding the 00VI, you just need an RPM activated switch. It's a fairly easy mod. Just research here and at maxima.org as I am sure it has been covered 1000's of times.

Regarding the 6-speed swap, I think the difficulty is finding proper driveaxles afterwards. Also I am not sure about the flywheel and CAS situation as I have never done this before.
