I'm finding mixed answers on this one. I am guessing that FF VQs differ from FRs. I found that the headgaskets are the same on the VQ30/35 in the altima/maxima. But have also found on the same site different headgaskets for just the VQ35.

I searched for the CCs difference in the combustion chambers, but couldn't come up with anything. I think I have read that VQ35 has a larger combustion chamber, so that would lower your compression ratio.

In searching around I did find that there is a VQ30 head available that gives you a static compression ratio of 12:1 with a different ports and titanium valves. Couldn't find any links to anywhere to order it and only saw it mentioned in a few articles so it could be just some make believe part.

You're correct. If you were to put vq35 heads on a vq30, it would give you a CR of about 8.5:1 which would be awesome for boost, but it would suck for NA. If you wanted to stay NA you'd have two choices. Get high comp vq30 pistons or buy these heads. These heads are basically vq35 heads with vq30 combustion chambers. You also would have to use the vq35 IM setup if you used the vq35 heads.
