VQ30 turbo on rb20 info

Hey i searched the VQ forum and this whole forum on anything on the topic and couldnt find any. My upgrade turbo for my rb20 is a much larger one off of a VQ30. I dont know any of the specs on it and would like to. Does it have the same ceramic wheel as the stock rb20turbo? How much boost is it good for etc since i am pushing it into the 18psi range and kind of worried that i damage this turbo so any information would be appreciated.

Are you saying that your RB20 came with a turbo from a VQ30DET from Japan, or are you buying one from a VQ30 here from the states?

Well as I cannot answer my first question, I can answer the second. No VQ30 in the US came with a turbo. Are you sure it isn't from a VG30?

I got a VQ30 of VQ35det turbo from japan that i already have installed onto my rb20 since it is a much larger upgrade to the stock rb20 turbo. The VG30 was twin turbo. I have a turbo from the single turbo VQ30 or VQ35det

You can email TILLEYS99, on http://www.maxima.org. He swapped a VQ30DET into his 1999 Nissan Maxima. He may know more about this. Just type his name in on Google. You may have to register with Maxima.org to send him an email. Or you can look him up on AIM, which is TILLEYS99. Good luck.

Yep finally took it off and got pictures. It is sitting on a 1 foot (12inch) tile for size comparison. The Turbine has G18 written on it somehow not sure what that means but the numbers and NISSAN are the only writing on the whole thing on the compressor housing so any help will be appreciated.
