VQ30 to VQ35

can anyone tell me if the VQ30DE block is the same as the newer VQ35DE block. and if it is, will the heads off the VQ 35 fit onto the VQ30?

larger displacement = different block

The VQ35 has a longer stroke and larger bore for the extra 0.5 liters in displacement. The VQ35 has better cooling heads for detonation prevention and long reach spark plugs. The heads also feature round intake ports vs. the oval ones in the VQ30

Well the deck height is the same so parts are interchangeable with some work. The heads can be swapped over, the barrels can be bored out. Might be cheaper to get a second hand engine?? maybe??
