VQ30 head and crank on VG30

ok before i ask anything i just want to say that i know almost nothing about VQ30's and VG30's only about my QR25 in my spec v. so im a noob when it comes to 300zx motors and whatnot but anyways. so my friend picked up a j30 with a blown VG30 in it for $50. my friend and i want to build up the motor for a possible project car. and we were woundering if the head and crank and maybe some other internals from a VQ30 would work with the VG30 block. if not we will just buy a new VG30 head and customs rods an pistons and hopefully twin turbo it and find a diferent chassis to put it in. need all the info on this i can get. thanks!

I'd go ahead and get the VG stuff. Right off the bat I can tell you one big difference between the two engines is the VG30DE(TT) uses a timing belt while the VQ30 uses a timing chain, that alone would cause some issues.
