The same can be done several ways, I have a project in progress using a megasquirt for this and EBC. VPC's are getting old, I can't believe they still cost so much. I got one that was lost in the hatch of a supra I bought and used it til I toasted my car, it was a lot better with the toyota than a stock flapper door MAF, made my car run so much better under WOT and when letting off the throttle but I had issues occasionally, seeming to do with ambient air temps, but looking back I would say I had a bad sensor.
