What I really want to know is did you buy your intake piping?

Or did you throw a filter on the end of the stock tubing.

Or did you make your own piping?

Please vote! I want to see how crafty or loaded us 240 people are.

If you would like post here what filter you went with also.

thank ya! thank ya!What kind of intake do you have?

I have a K&N or very close look-a-like that the guy I bought my car from gave to me. It has the adaptor to hook it to the stock tubing, with the cone filter.

Currently, my airfilter is bolted onto the stock piping.

I'm working on making my own pipes to imitate a cold air style intake.

you can see in the picture the metal pipe in the background that I will be using. My OE fan shroud is too wide for the pipe to go around, so I'm upgrading to a smaller, electric unit. The pvc plumbing piping I will be using to build an extension from the MAF, to run the filter into the bumper.

Coustom ram air w/ a JWT pop charger inside, mated then to a HotShot 3" intake tube that is thermal wrapped :) A nice mix of homemade and storebought.

AEM short-ram with a well crafted, home made, custom cold air duct.

I have a front facing scoop located where the factory fog lights would be (if I had any). Then I used 3" diameter vaccum hose running through what used to be the location of the resonator box, then a perfectly cut 3" hole (my trusty Dremmel) where the stock intake went into the resonator. This dumps cold air right underneath the AEM filter..... it works VERY well.
