Hi guys,

I;m new to the forums but been following for sometime, just never had a question untill now. I recently went to a rim shop and ordered BC racing coils and was about to buy Vossen CVT rims. I wanted 19x10 for the rear and 19x8.5 for front. The guy i spoke with didn't recommend going with the 19x10s as he believes they wont fit. I dont know how to find the offset of these rims and if they indeed wouldnt fit. Fit meaning without modifying my fenders and i plan to lower to no wheel gap, not slammed.

Any insight from you folks who are running a 10 width and maybe what kind of offset i need to stay within.. or what extent would i need to do to make a 19x10 fit?

Thank you,

I'm fairly new to modifying cars and rim sizes and such

(FYI: 10 wide wheels are generally to wide to bolt onto an important vehicle without some modifications). However, 19x10 will "fit" but you will need to roll your fenders and you may experience inner wheel suspension rubbing too.

More Importantly, what offset will the rear wheels be? What size tires are you willing to mount on your the wheels? Just take the measurements on how much interior and exterior wheel space you have on your current wheels. Then factor in the offset calculations to determine the best wheel specs to purchase. 19x9.5 (+40-42) will be the more ideal choice. If the guy at the "rim shop" knows what he's doing, he should be able to help you with taking the correct measurements.

Thanks for you response. He did say that a 9 or 9.5 would be more ideal however vossen doesn't make 9 or 9.5 for cvt at the moment for the rim size 19. And He didn't offer to measure ... Maybe I'll get a second opinion at another shop. Thanks

You can also stretch your tires to further mitigate the chances of rubbing. :yesnod

I'm currently running 19x9.5 +35 offset on the rear and lowered on D2's...haven't had any issues rubbing at all.
