hey Guys,

where did you guys buy your Vortech kits for automatics? I called Vortechs and they told me they do not offer a kit for g35 with 5AT.

I have 2005 g35 sedan 5AT

thanks,

e kit for the AT is the same as the kit for the MT..... Call Vortech directly and request the MT kit.....

thanks.. is it because 2005 uses electric fans and that allows it to fit?

I don't see how that would affect anything; they make kits for the 05 6MT, which also have electric fans. (2003.5 was when they switched from mechanical fans to electric).

Vortech might not sell "kits" for the 5AT because they don't want to be liable for AUTO transmission damage. The 6MT is really stout, so the added stress wouldn't be an issue.

I really don't think there is a difference between the AUTO and the 6MT as far as mounting the SC.

The only other difference between the 2005 AUTO and 6MT is the version of the engine. The 6MT is a REVUP engine and the AUTO is the non-REVUP. The REVUP is a little different with stronger internals.

The REVUP motor has variable cam timing on both exhaust and intake where as in the non-REVUP is only on the intake side. It also has a higher rev limiter at 7K RPM. The REVUP also has strong connecting rods, conn rod bolts, crank, exhaust cams, etc.

thanks,
