get a t3 manifold for the 240 and you can use a t3 turbo.....keep the oil lines see if they'll reach. also the wastegate might come in handy and any sidemounts that might be involved. you might just need to get new piping for the sidemount. ummmm just make sure you take it all out right, dont leave any oil dripping anywhere.

Funny to find this thread, as just earlier today I pulled a perfect Garrett T3 out of an 89 940. Got the front mount too, since the tank end in/outs are on the top. Is the stock SR bottom mount manifold T3? I think it is since the stock turbo is a T25. I've got a buddy that's gonna give me his stockie since he just went top mount. The wastegate is internally actuated, so just don't unbolt it from the turbo. You'll only boost 7.5 psi though, till you get an external. I'm gonna do it for as cheap as possible (without being stupid) and use soft intercooler piping and no BOV, I'm pretty sure at ~7 psi, you haven't maxed out the fuel system, the MAFS, or induced the need for timing retard. Need to do a little more reading on that. (HINT: Help me!) I know I'll need an FMU though (Help Me!) to keep the A/F ratio right. Should probably get a Walbough too. If I can get it going like this, I can buy as I need, IE hard piping, better mani, SR 370 injectors, ECU, etc. Then bump the boost. I know that turbo can spool like double it's stock output, it spooled like crazy on my shopvac. I ganked the metal part of the oil lines and the downpipe. I'm just gonna fab my own lines, since you can buy all the stuff you need online and there's a great write up in the KA24DET forum. Hope I helped, now someone help me.

Wow that was a long post. Hope someone can make it all the way through and provide some masterful advice.

make sure you keep the turbo oil pathways clean, tape them up or some thing. i found out that a tiny loose screw can cost alot to fix
