ok, so after my battery drainage mystery issue was solved on my s13, i decided i want to invest in a voltmeter gauge which ill install on the a piller. anyways, cos of my past charging issues, if the car was running i want to make sure its actually charging too, i found a good deal for an autometer voltmeter gauge for 30.

all i want to know is where do i connect the voltmeter to, to let it read how much is being charged.

and what kind of wires will i need?

please help all info is great! =]

I didn't find it necessary to have a gauge pod just for voltage. so i got one of these if you are doing a pod then you can hook it through the cig lighter lead or any other 12V lead in the car. I use mainly 18 or 16 gauge wire for this kind of stuff.

Its only 12v source and ground. You can use anything from 14 to 18 gauge wire.

I used the ignition wire as my 12v source. Turn key, gauge reads. Simple, I used the piggyback wire splices.
