Voltage question

My car usually stays at 14v but yesterday I was driving in rain with my headlights,radio,rear defogger, and AC and the voltage fluctuated from 13 to 14 but very slowly tho.. sometimes it even went to 12.8

Could it be my alternator going?

That would be your regulator, which is built into your Alternator. The regulator is responsible for keeping the voltage in a certain range. The voltage will sometimes fluctuate. You start having a problem when it stays low over a longer period of time. Indications of this are lights dimming, car won`t start. Just keep an I on it. If you are really worried about it you can go to AutoZone for free and they can test it on your car.

Ok now when the car starts its at 14v but as I drive around it drops to around 13.5 and stays there. Is this ok?
