sorry for such a bad title, but im confused on this one...In mornings ill start up, turns over and clicks then starts up other times ill have to keep on doing it. But ill idle around 1300 next time i start car the same day it will idle around 1000 then eventually through the day ill get down to 700 at redlights etc. Now the only thing i can think that is doing this is something with the grounding? like the battery cables going bad etc. anyone else have any ideas? Thanks, Ben

what voltage do you get at the batt terminals? check voltage drop across the ground wire by putting one lead on the batt neg terminal and one on a chassis ground. does the idle just gradually drop as temp goes up? if so thats normal.

ah hah, well you could just be refering to cold idle and warm up idle down.

Factory idle for most 5MT's is ~750 RPM.
