Hi all!

I've been a Chevy Volt fan for 2 years registered on the gm-volt waiting list but when the price came out for the Volt and the Leaf I decided the range extender just wasn't worth the $9000 difference GM was charging for it (no pun intended).

I have a 2 car family with a connected garage and my round trip commute is only 40 miles. Since I have a second car (minivan) for long family trips anyway, a 100 mile range electric car seems to fit me perfectly.

And now that I've researched the Leaf a little better and seen that it is actually a pretty damned nice little car I'm pretty excited to get mine and help America get off its foreign energy dependency. Of course, it doesn't hurt that its a Nissan!

Anyway, I reserved mine at their website for $99. I live in Minnesota so it will be probably Q4 next year before I can get my hands on one but that actually works out quite well for me as my Civic will be just about paid off then and just about run through its 100,000 mile warranty so it should be a perfect time to trade.

Awesome! Glad to hear we might be getting a GM AND a Honda convert! You won't regret it. Everything we're hearing on this car is all positive.
