Voice Tags with POI

Does anyone know if I can use voice recognition for the POIs in Navigation mode? The POIs are greyed out when the vehicle is moving. I am finally up on the all the technology except for the voice recognition. What I want to do is find a restaurant by name (e.g Bob Evans or Crackerbarrel) while driving. When I am in a foreign area it would certainly help.Yellowbear

I tried everything to get this to work. I called the company who built the nav unit. Once the vehicle is moving past 3MPH, the voicetag will not work. There is no way around it that is legal. I myself, will not play with the unit to make it work, if you get it to work and break the unit, the warranty will be voided. I was told this from the maker. Why risk it?

Maybe someone on here knows of a work around.

Yellowbear, I tried this yesterday with a little success, (pls note that I have the Canadian version and did this while driving). I used voice command 'Destination Nearby' and my choices came up on the screen. Voice command 'one' to choose restaurants but only five choices of the nearest, (1 to 2km) appear. I could not choose which type. Hope this helps!

Yeah I only got the nearest 5 restaurants when using the voice command. It does not let you scroll. When the vehicle is stopped one can go to POIs, restaurants and name your choice. Bout there is no "POI" choice under "Destination" when moving.

There is a alternate voice recognition mode on the voice recognition setting. Does anyone know if this helps?

I tried adding a voice tag to scroll, but it does not work. Sorry, I am out of ideas. I think there is nothing that you can do about this issue. If so, please let us know of a fix. I will still do some more research.
