In February 2016 I bought a new 2016 Nissan Rogue SL. Soon after buying the car I started having a problem with the voice recognition not initializing. I would press the talk button and the screen would say “Voice Recognition is Initializing. Please wait . . .” The problem is the Voice Recognition never initialized. I could press this button for my whole ride (e.g. back and forth from work) and it just would not start. The dealer had suggested it may be my Iphone 4S since the software is only updated to version 7.1.2, but this problem still happens when the phone is completely off.

Well the dealer replaced the unit this weekend and now (on Tuesday) it has started happening again.

Has anyone had this problem with their vehicle?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have a 2015 SL AWD Premium Tech Pkg and mine does not do this. Have the dealer do a software update install on the infotainment system if they haven't done this already. Sounds like a software problem. Your iPhone has nothing to do with the voice recognition not initializing. Hope this helps.

:dblthumb: I work at Nissan as well as own one and had the same issue for a day. Just remove the sd card from the navigation system and replace it. Should fix the glitch. At least it did for me. Hope you got it figured out.

....put the same sd card in. Sorry about the confusing language.
