I have a 2006 M35x and when using voice commands to enter an address for GPS, if I say the road name but not the direction, it will end the search. For example, if I say "Main St" and the address is "Main St NE", it will stop the search. Is it possible to get it to seek all Main Streets in the city that I am searching in so that I can choose the right one?

I would like to know the same thing. I don't recall having so many failed voice commands on the other M I owned. Maybe I'm just getting old...

I got the car back from the dealer and they replaced the Bluetooth with a new mic. The mic is now re-located above my head just to the right. The new mic comes with a new panel.

I haven't played with it much as I had to re-enter names & numbers in the phonebook.

But I can tell you it has made a big difference in making calls, hearing incoming calls and with no delays. Even the nav commands work better.

The voice command now has less faults then before, so far so good.

I'll play with it more the next time I take a long ride with the family.

In my car, I find that if I talk normally...it picks it up better than when I try to enunciate clearly.

I'm out of warranty, so I guess this is a no-go for me.

I tried under warranty and my dealership said my 2006 M45 car wasn't covered by the TSB (which is likely BS sirnce it was manufactured in April of 05). They also said the TSB was only for bluetooth issues and since I don't have phone for them to replicate a problem with they couldn't fix it. In addition, they said that their tech was able to use the voice commands fine (sitting in a garage with no wind or road noise, which I pointed out to no avail). Finally, they suggested that I need to go through the voice training procedure (which doesn't exist for this car [but does for several others I have seen]). I think having to talk to a service advisor who is basically a commissioned salesman is BS. It doesn't matter, though, Nissan is lower on my list than GM now, and I am pretty sure I won't like any Japanese car anyway based on the differences in their engineering (this after little discussion about a Honda and experience in a Mazda). Too bad I will probably be putting up with my M45 for another 2 years (as opposed to the 6 I promised myself I could do), hopefully it makes it that long, though, I guess.

It's great to hear all of the responses to this topic, but unfortunately none of the solutions mentioned address the issue that I have. The microphone "hears" me just fine, my issue is when entering an address using voice commands, if you don't say the direction of the street (if it has one), the GPS unit will just terminate searching for the address. It is frustrating because you have no way of knowing if the address is Main Street NE, SW, etc. If anyone knows of a solution to this, please post it. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback everyone. This sounds like an issue that I (and other 2006 M owners) will just have to live with.
