This is what i need to know. When it comes to VLSD's i do not know much other than how they work. I have searched for my answer and i did get one, but it was a "i am pretty sure it will work" answer. I have a 93 240sx non abs. I have Nismo 4.64 Rear end gears, and i would like to have a VLSD to improve my current 2.1 60 ft time. I have found a JDM s13 differential that i can purchase, and i have also found a vlsd from a s14. This is not the whole pumpkin...just the differentials themselves. Can i use either one of these in my pumpkin with my gears? Is one of these just a bolt in or do i need new output shafts or what. I would like to keep everything the way it is now, without any modification if possible. Thank you for your help.

From my understanding, the S14 VLSD is a 6 bolts pattern while the S13 is 5 Bolts pattern. You can make it work, however, you need the 6 bolts axles, and I think the Housing too...The best is getting a pre 94 J30 LSD...cheap and fits like a champ.

No, the s13 is 6 bolt pattern. As long as your outputs are 6 bolt, it will fit up just by changing the rear diff cover to S13.

In order to install the S14 lsd into a S13 you will need to swap the rear covers and do something about the front rubber mounts. Like big washers etc.
