VLSD rebuildable?

i did a search and came up with nothing, adn i know this is a longshot, but is there a rebuild kit for the vlsd's? Mine is pretty shot adn just wondered it nissan made one with new clutches adn stuff. Thanks!

Nope...you can only buy a new viscous unit, for about $700.

It's a viscous, there are no clutche disks. Your best bet would be to find a used one and install it.

hahah throw it away.VLSD is CRAP!get a real LSD.no excuses.

Check the fsm there is a "viscous cartridge" which may have a part number if you go into the parts department with a exploded diagram. Hope that helps.

someone tried that before, and the part was like....$800 or $1400 for a new vlsd. Seriously, just find a used one, don't waste your money. With that money you could get a Nismo, or Tomei, or something along those lines.

No kidding, when my vlsd burns out I am getting a real limited slip installed in my spare open diff.
