hey I just got vlsd installed, along with matching axles. The vlsd unit supposedly came off of a r32, it has a vlsd sticker on it and a bigger oil pan than the stock open differential one

anyways, will this make my car go faster, slower or no change during staight acceleration?

If you were spinning your wheels at all before with the oepn differential, you will now be faster.

And besides, if you didn't know having an LSD was better...why would you buy and install one?

of course I know it's better, but I am under the impression that it'll only kick in when 1 wheel is starting to lose control, especially when making a fast turn.

I am just curious whether it will do anything on a straight line.. say normal driving and drag racing.

Normal driving - probably not a noticeable difference, unless you drive like a high school male.

Drag racing - you'll be able to launch high and faster, it's like a whole 'nother world. Same with out of corners hard. Anytime where one wheel even wants to start losing traction, you'll now be faster and more consistant.
