Im looking for a good launch, but want to keep the gearing less then 4.08

What do you think the best rear would be. I still have the the stock in there, just turned the motor up last week. This is just gonna be a high horse street car.

I got the stock rear from a KA in there at the moment. I'm flexible, I just want to retain the independent suspension. I just got the engine running after the swap, so its still in the early stages.

hmm. . . . . when you say 'indepedent', what do you mean? not to say your dumb, i just know some people that think if it isnt on leaf springs its independent to them. if it were me i'd think about swappin in something a little beefier. i don't know how the 240 rearend will hold up to that ls6. a ford 9 inch or a 10 bolt sure would though.
