I've been looking at getting an lsd and I've been thinking bout getting either a vlsd or hlsd. I found a good deal on a s15 hlsd but I have a few quesitons:

1) Which would be better for a stock 240 (only have an intake and 2.5" cat)?

2) I've read that I need special bolts for the gear rings. I found some on ebay with this part#: 38102-RS500 through some posts that I've searched previously. Is this legit and would it work?

3) Lastly, would this fit into my open diff pumpkin without having to change the output shafts or would I need the s15 output shafts?

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks.

1 - Helical feels just like an open differential during normal driving, you won't even notice it...it will be fine for a stock car
2 - I'm using the 13mm ring gear bolts in mine, but I've heard of people using the stock 12mm bolts without a problem also
3 - You will need the S15 output shafts

So it would feel like an open diff during daily accel. and braking then? Cool

and s15 shaft = s15 axels then??

you dont need the axles; just the half shafts..... they are stock 6 bolt like the 240

it does feel awesome though, it grips really well and makes it a whole new car. i never thought of a LSD since i dont really like the whole drift scene

Really? I was reading an article I searched for and I thought they were a 5bolt pattern?
