Just 80/90 gear oil. Make sure its the type the FSM recommends. I like amsoil and we sell it here on Nico, just search Amsoil

dont forget the lil tube of lsd addictive..makes things alot smoother and mine seems to lock better

to the guy above. vlsd's dont require additive. its a sealed unit, so no additive needed

You can't go wrong with Mobil 1!!!

Although, I use Lucas Heavy Duty Synthetic 80/90

NO LSD ADDITIVE. Like said VLSD's are a sealed unit.

locals recommened addictive.so i put it in. and it got rid of alot of the whining and cracking sounds it had.i know its a sealed unit. but it DID help out something in there.

Well its wrong, LSD adds moly additives which are micro lubricants. They are bad for the seals and can cause wear down.

I could say Lucas but here people are starting to use Motion Plus and they are saying is better than Lucas.
