Don't make up lengths with washers. Do you have a local Fastenal? If so, go in there and tell them what you need, they can probably get it.

M12 x 1.25 x 85mm

I'm having a little trouble seeing where you need an 85mm bolt...

From the link above:

"You will also need 2 longer mounting bolts for the S13 chassis, and 2 large washers for the front mounts...to be used with the large bushings on the front mounts.

They are M12 X 1.25 thread/pitch, 85mm long. "

My dad works with a company that competes with Fastenall. Great Idea ... Thanks.. I'm also going to try the dealer in the a.m. for stock bolts for 300zx.

Wish me luck...

Go to my thread and see what I did when I installed my differential, might help you out a little. I'm not real familiar with the 300zx diff, but I had to modify my q45 diff.

It's in my signature.

just cut the bolt if it is too long and run a die over it to ensure that the threads are still good they don't fab bolts that are 3" long any diff than 1.25" also us lock-tight. just grind it down carefully or use a band-saw. or a hack-saw but just be accurate and don't drink heavily before.

or you can just thread a nut on, cut it, clean it up a bit, then just thread the nut back off... lots of options.

The answer is: You get them off the 300ZX that the diff came from.

Seriously, no one ever thinks about the fact that you might need the mounting hardware that goes with the diff when they get it from the junker.
